M50 Toll Buddy

July 29th, 2010

If pay your M50 toll by phone or PayZone you need this app!

Tell Toll Buddy when you’ve passed the M50 toll by quickly swiping up or down. No looking required, the iPhone vibrates to confirm your entry.

The app takes care of reminding you to pay before the deadline. By default there are three reminders:

  • in Two hours
  • at Midday the next day
  • at 6PM the next day

Toll Buddy uses the Local Notifications feature of iOS4 to alert you at the specified times.

When the alert pops up you can click “Pay Now” to return to Toll Buddy’s payment options screen.

Tap on either the 1890 or international numbers for eFlow to pay by Laser/Credit Card or tap on PayZone to see a list of outlets nationwide where you can pay with cash.

You can also review or clear all pending reminders. Individual reminders may also be removed with the usual swipe to delete gesture.

If all goes with the review process Toll Buddy should be available on Aug 9th
